Question by Ike: What free money management program(s) do you recommend to keep track of checking and savings accounts?
I don’t need it to do anything complicated–just basically a computerized version of a checkbook register for my accounts. If I can enter my transactions when they happen and balance my accounts each month, I don’t need much more.

I am open to new features if they’re useful, but I’ve been using Microsoft Money for awhile and I didn’t see the need to use 99% of its options.

Using Microsoft Money is a good idea. However you may want to ask for the advice of Stephen Pierce on money management. He has lots of ideas.

They only charge shipping for your first free promotional order.

I would say that’s as close to free as you are going to get.
